

Gus Thomas, age 81 of Worthington, passed away Friday, June 8, 2012. Gus was born in Canton, Ohio and grew up in Alliance, Ohio, son of the late Peter and Margaret Thomas. Also preceded in death by his brother, John Thomas. Gus graduated from Alliance High School, Class of 1948 and later went on to attend both Kent State University and Mt. Union College. He was the founder and owner of Datafile, a document management company. Gus was a very funny and generous man who was very social and made friends wherever he went. He liked to follow sports, particularly basketball, enjoyed smoking a cigar from time to time, but most of all, Gus loved spending time in the mountains of North Carolina with family. Gus was also very proud of his Albanian heritage. He was a charter member of Frosnia and a member of Nearo, both organizations involved with providing aid and mentoring Albanian refugees. Gus will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 51 years, Barbara Thomas; sons, Peter (Wendy), Jim (Jodi), and Andrew (Julie) Thomas; grandchildren, John and Anthony Thomas; sister, Loretta (David) Jones; and many other extended family members and dear friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 A.M. Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 N. High St., where family will receive friends from 6-8 P.M. Tuesday. The Rev.
