Gwendolyn John

Gwendolyn affectionately known as Gwen is the oldest of 20 siblings.

Gwen departed this life on Wednesday February 21st 2024 in Columbus Ohio.

Gwen attended various Ohio schools until she moved to New York City were she met and married her love Bernard W. John, during this union they had three children; Tiffany John, Antoinette Christian and Kelby John.

Gwen worked for the New York State Department of Health until her retirement.

Gwen leaves to cherish her memories her mom Arletha Fort, her children Tiffany John, Antoinette Christian and Kelby John. Her brothers and sisters Geneva (Garald) Fort, Michele Crute, Tonya Crute, Arletha Moton, Darlene Crute Turner (Abduallah), Shirlene Hill (Sidney), Lillian Davila (Michael), Anthony Pruden, Rodney Fort, Roger Fort, Ronnell Fort, Kevin Crute, Joel Crute, Christopher Crute, Ronald Crute, Christal Crute, Oneida Crute and a host of nieces, nephews, family, friends and relatives.

She preceded in death by her husband Bernard W. John, parents Ethel Gindratt, Joel Crute, grandparents Joseph and Willie Mae Gindratt, stepfather Ike Politeher, sister Rebecca Martin, brothers Richard Pruden, Alan K. Crute and David Fort .

Gwen was loving, caring independent woman who love to have fun by spreading joy and laughter to everyone. Gwen loved to play cards and games with family, she had a love for traveling, shopping, painting and to make jewelry.
