

Harold was born in Chillicothe on January 24, 1948 to the late Ernest and Frances (Bowles) Cockrell. He attended Jackson High School in Williamsport. He lived his life in the Williamsport area, being a friend and helping hand to many, many people as an automotive mechanic at the H & E Garage and Deer Creek Auto Parts.
He is preceded in death by his brother Leroy “Bud” Cockrell, sisters Ernestine Lowry and Christine Smith. He is survived by his wife Della (Kiser) whom he married 41 years ago; daughters Annette (Ernest) Adams, Beverly Cockrell (Brian Smith), and his son Ernest “Ernie” (Joanna) Cockrell. His four grandchildren Paul Hammond, Tyler Adams, Emily Cockrell and Brayden Cockrell; his sister Carolyn (Fred) Smith of Orient, many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and his treasured friend, Walker the cockatoo. Harold loved to travel to Lake Erie and fish, ride his Harley, and listen to the old classics of country music.
In honoring Harold’s wishes, there will be no services held. The family would like to thank Dr. Bohlen, and the Berger Hospice staff, including Alison Smith, Jill Landis, and Amy Groce.
