Harold L. Moore

Harold was born on October 11, 1929 to the late Charles and Helen Moore in Newark, OH. He graduated from Newark High School class of ’49. One year later he married the love of his life and high school sweetheart, Miss Clarice M. Howes on October 7, 1950. They celebrated over 60 years together before his passing. He started his career with Owens-Corning in 1949 and retired 38 years later. Harold was also a volunteer Fire Fighter for the City of Heath for over 30 years, and after his retirement, he still served as treasurer for several years. Harold loved in his family greatly and was very proud of his children and grand children. An avid sports fan, OSU football was his passion.

Along with his parents, Harold is preceded in death by his siblings; Virginia and Jimmy; daughter-in-law Sue Moore.

Harold is survived by his wife Clarice Moore of Heath; son, Jeff Moore (Bonny Roddy) of Columbus; daughter Susan (Terry) Isaacs; grandchildren Mark (Kara) Moore, Molly (Tyler) Pensyl, Kyle (Ashley) Isaacs, Kara Isaacs(Zach Arnold); great grandson, Connor J. Pensyl; sister Margaret Ann Knotts of Newark. He is also survived by his favorite dog KC as well as many other relatives and friends.

The family will be receiving friends at the Criss Schoedinger Funeral Home, 179 Granville St. Newark, OH on Sunday, April 3, 2011 from 2:00pm until 4:00pm Services will be held on Monday, April 4, 2011 at 1:00pm. Burial will follow at Wilson Cemetery.
