Harold R. "Dick" Shultz

Harold R. "Dick" Shultz, age 80, passed away on Friday, September 15, 2017 at Mt. Carmel Medical Center. Dick was born on December 14, 1936 in Columbus, Ohio to Henry and Doris Evelyn (Poulson) Shultz. Dick was a proud graduate of West High School. He served his country in the Army National Guard. Dick was a member of VFW Post #4044, AmVets #1928, American Legion Post #532 and Moose Lodge #11. Dick worked for White Westinghouse for 27 years and retired from AEP after working 15 years. He played baseball and softball well into his 50's. He loved karaoke, Ohio State Football and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Preceded in death by his parents Henry and Evelyn Shultz. Survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Jeanette; daughters, Debra (Jerry) Shiman and Lori (Steven) Athey; grandchildren, Lindsey (Michael) Hess, Shane (Chelsea) Shiman, Stevie (Mandy) Athey and Zachery Athey; great grandchildren, Logan, Keeleigh, JJ, and Levi; brother, Paul (Geri) Shultz; many other relatives and friends.

Family will receive visitors from 4-7 pm on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at the HOPE and HEART FUNERAL HOME by SCHOEDINGER, 3030 W. Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio where funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, September 20, 2017. Interment Sunset Cemetery.
