Harry M Hart

Harry M. Hart Jr., 86 of Columbus, went home to be with the Lord on March 19, 2013. He was born July 23, 1926 in Greenup County, Kentucky. He was the son of the late Harry Hart Sr. of Carter County and Effie (Meadows) Hart-Vest of Greenup County, Kentucky. Also preceding him in death are a stepfather Johnny Vest of Garrison and a sister Lula Burns also of Garrison, Kentucky and a grand-daughter Kimberly Susan Meehan of Columbus. Mr Hart was retired from Rockwell International. He was a Navy veteran of WWII and a charter member of Walnut Heights Baptist Church. Mr. Hart was greatly loved by those who knew him. He is survived by Hazel (Stephens) Hart his wife of 62 years, a daughter Wanda and her husband Terry Meehan of Orange Park, Florida, a son Floyd Hart of Columbus, two grandchildren, James Meehan and Carrie King of Orange Park, Florida, three great grandchildren, Jacob Watrous of Orange Park, Florida, Melinda and Owen King of Elizabethtown, PA and many nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends Friday from 5-8 PM at SCHOEDINGER EAST CHAPEL, 5360 E. Livingston Ave. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 AM at Walnut Heights Baptist Church, 1660 Lattimer Drive, Columbus, Ohio 43227. Pastor Ralph Short officiating.
