Harry Franklin Sanders, age 87, of Gahanna passed away peacefully in his sleep on Monday, September 21, 2009. Harry was born January 25, 1922 in Sharples, W.Vir. to the late Otto and Maude (Kidd) Sanders. He was a WWII Veteran and a member of the Teamster’s Union. Harry had a great love for playing the organ and the music of the Big Band Era; however, his greatest love was his wife of 62 years, Dottie. His dedication and devotion to Dottie was evident to all who knew him. Harry was a true gentleman in every sense of the word. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years Dorothy (Moore) Sanders; daughter, Lynda (Sanders) Clements; grandchildren, Allysa (Ernie) Reed, Allayne (Jim) McGrath; great-grandchildren Austin McGrath, Chloe Young, Jourdan McGrath, Olivia Reed and Elliot Reed. Family will receive friends 4-7pm Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at Schoedinger Northeast Chapel, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., Gahanna, 43230 where services will be held at 11:30 am Thursday; Chaplain Wayne Wiles, Officiating; Interment Glen Rest Memorial Estate.
