Harvey Gene Chaffin, Jr. 58, passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2019. He was born September 30, 1960 in Columbus, Ohio. He was a 1978 graduate of Grove City H.S. He was awarded the Governor's Art Award for the State of Ohio in 1978. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed playing classic rock on the guitar. His family was very important to him and cherished the time that he was able to spend with them, especially his son, Tucker. Preceded in death by his mother, Sue Chaffin and brother, Mark Chaffin. Harvey is survived by his wife of 13 years, Erin Chaffin; son, Tucker, daughter, Jeri Sue; father, Harvey Chaffin, Sr.; and many other relatives and friends. Visitation will be 3-4 p.m. Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at the SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY CHAPEL, 3920 Broadway, Grove City, where his memorial service will be held immediately following at 4 p.m. Private inurnment will be held later at Ridgewood Cemetery in Wellston, Ohio.
