Hazel Parsons, age 63, of Columbus, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 11, 2015. She worked at Rod’s Western Palace and was formerly a waitress at the Press Club. Hazel is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Parsons; sons, Donald E. Parsons and Dearl “Bubba” Parsons; parents, Edward and Faithie Sullivan; brothers, Carlos, Carl, Gordon, Clyde, and Roy Lee Sullivan; and special sister-in-law, Mary Lou Sullivan. She is survived by her children, Debbie (Rick White) Sells, Dearl E. (Judy) Parsons, Tamela Rideout, Cherie (Gary) Brenner, Brenda (Bob Hoover) Johnson, Lisa (Mike) Taylor, and Donald Gene Parsons; 20 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; siblings, Lawrence (Janet) Sullivan, Maggie Greenhill, and Betty Kiser; many other relatives and friends. A funeral service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Friday, February 20, 2015 at Schoedinger Linden Memorial Chapel, 2741 Cleveland Avenue, where friends will be received from 3-6:00 p.m. Friday.
