

Helen Janette (Tracy) Cobb, age 74, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at Kobacker House. She was born on September 20, 1935 in Luckey, OH to the late Floyd and Minnie (Roper) Tracy. Helen lived in many places with her late husband, James M. Cobb until settling in Columbus. She retired from Columbus Public Schools where she was a Bus Driver for 20 years. Helen was a former member of the Eastern Star and Ladies Auxiliary Moose Lodge #11. After retirement she enjoyed being a homemaker, boating on the Muskingum River and traveling. Helen and her husband wintered in Brownsville, TX for many years. She recently enjoyed her time spent at Summerville at Pinnacle where she was a member of the Summerville Bingo Club. Helen also enjoyed scrabble and scratch lottery tickets. Preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, James M. Cobb, Ret. Chief Warrant Officer 5, U.S. Army; sister, Anna Knot; brothers, Wesley, Robert and Jr. Tracy. Survived by her sons, James Michael (Josephine) Cobb and Timothy Daniel (Cindi) Cobb; grandchildren, James Daniel (Courtney) Cobb and Cayla Cobb; brothers, Clyde and Marion Tracy; many other relatives and friends. Visitation celebrating her life will be held 4-8 p.m. Friday at SCHOEDINGER HILLTOP CHAPEL, 3030 W. Broad St. where funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 10, 2010.
