Helen Claire Schwartz

Helen C. Schwartz, age 95 of Columbus, passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2016. Helen was born and raised in Green Bay, Wisconsin, daughter of the late Anthony and Margaret Winkel. Also preceded in death by her beloved husband, William C. Schwartz and siblings, Monnie McCormick, Anna Chapin, Marie Fleshman, Jack Winkel, Jerry Winkel, and Bob Winkel. Helen was a graduate of Mt. Carmel School of Nursing. She was a warm, outgoing woman, who made friends wherever she went. She was a longtime member of St. Timothy Catholic Church and an active member of the Upper Arlington Senior Center where she enjoyed playing in multiple card groups. Above all else, Helen was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, and was truly passionate about spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed by her children, Peggy (Mathew) Pasquale and Jack (Maggie O'Connor) Schwartz; grandchildren, Mathew (Erin) Pasquale and Michael (Maya) Dhavale; great grandchildren, Miller and Ryan Pasquale and Lydia and Maren Dhavale; and many other extended family and dear friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 A.M. Saturday, May 21, 2016 at St. Timothy Catholic Church, 1088 Thomas Ln. Inurnment Resurrection Cemetery. Father Timothy Hayes Celebrant.
