Holly Eve Clancy, age 64, of Westerville, Ohio died on November 10, 2017 at The James Cancer Hospital. She was born December 24, 1952 in Springfield, Ohio to the late Okodell G. and Daniel F. Clancy. She is survived by sister, Cassandra S. Clancy and brother-in-law, Michael A. Womer. In her youth with big blue eyes and curly, long blonde hair, Holly looked like actresses Farrah Fawcett and Goldie Hawn. Holly exemplified her Irish-German ancestry: fun-loving and kind-hearted as well as independent and loyal. She graduated from Northland High School. Holly started part-time work at age 15 at Huntington National Bank where she became a 47 year employee. She loved her co-workers as a second family. Friends and family knew Holly loved them because she was always thoughtful and willing to help. Homemade cookies were often her way of showing appreciation and thanks to others. She knew a vitamin that could take care of every problem. Sunbathing and shelling on Florida beaches were her passion. Mustangs and Jeeps were her cars of choice. Throughout her life, Holly's companions were Cocker Spaniels which she treated like her children. Her sweet, happy nature enriched many lives. The one contradiction in Holly's health-conscious life killed her. She smoked cigarettes for 47 years. A month after she retired, she was diagnosed with lung cancer. Her final contribution to fight this disease was the donation of tissues to small-cell lung cancer research at OSU. Family will receive friends Thursday, November 16, 2017 from 5-8 p.m. and from 9-10 a.m. on Friday at SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Road, where a funeral service will take place Friday at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Kingwood Memorial Park in Lewis Center, Ohio. Contributions may be made to The Precision Cancer Medicine Fund 315680 at The James Cancer Hospital, 660 Ackerman Rd., P.O. Box 183112, Columbus, Ohio 43218.
