

Homer S. Harrison, age 77, longtime resident of Worthington, passed away peacefully at home, February 28, 2011. He was born in Detroit, MI to Elsie and Homer Harrison Sr. Homer was a graduate of Cranbrook High School and earned his Eagle Scout Badge. Upon graduating high school he attended and graduated from the University of Michigan with a B.A in Industrial Psychology. He was a Korean War Veteran and avid Wolverine fan living among Buckeyes. He retired as Senior Vice president with Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield. Homer being from the Motor City loved cars and his hobbies included model trains, golfing, music and the theater but his best role in life was that of father and grandfather. He is preceded in death by parents and brother Roger Harrison. Survived by wife, Michele; sons, Scot (Eva) Harrison, Matthew Wiles; daughter, Cassandra (Ron) Freeland; grandsons, Hunter and Parker Harrison, Evan and Adam Freeland, sisters, Nancy (Justin) Smalley and Sue Palmer. Homer was generous beyond measure and will be missed by everyone that knew him. A celebration of life service will be held Saturday 3:00pm at the SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL 6699 N. High Street where friends may visit Saturday from 1:00pm until the time of the service.
