

Hubert C. "Dick" Stottlemire, 76, passed away Thursday, March 13, 2014. He was born July 16, 1937 in Fairmont, West Virginia to the late Hubert and Hazel Stottlemire, Sr. Dick was a proud U.S. Navy veteran who was previously employed at West Virginia Electric Corporation and retired from Converse Electric. He was a past president of the United Mine Workers of America. Dick's passion was his children and Ford cars and trucks. He loved to spend countless hours restoring classic Ford vehicles. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife, Roberta Plank; sons, Gary David Stottlemire and Richard Alan Stottlemire; sister, Clara Smallwood; and brothers, Donald and Raymond. Dick is survived by wife, Sandra "Sandy"; children, William (Becky) Stottlemire, Laurien (Robbie) Ice, Robert (Betty) Stottlemire, Valeri Stottlemire and her son, Nicholas Rayburn, Mark Stottlemire, and Jennifer Stottlemire; sister, Ruth (Michael) Saturday; brother, Gary (Donna) Stottlemire; previous wife, Bonnie Debalski; and many other extended family members and dear friends. A Celebration of Dick's Life will be held at 7 P.M. Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at the SCHOEDINGER EAST CHAPEL, 5360 E. Livingston Ave., where family will receive friends from 6 P.M. until time of service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dick's memory to the charity of your choice.
