Irene Anne Kell

Irene A. Kell, age 91, passed away on Friday, March 25, 2016 at Mt. Carmel Hospital West. Irene was born in Stoke-on-Trent, England on October 11, 1924 to the late Ashton and Elsie (Hobson) Chell. She came to the United States in June of 1946. Irene was a longtime member and former secretary for the T.B.P.A local Crown and Eagle Branch. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, growing roses, and training dogs. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Kell; son, Robert A. Mahr; daughter, Pauline Kerr and sister, Joan Chell. Survived by children, Cliff (Kay) Mahr; Cathy (Bruce) Thornburg and Christopher R. Kell; grandchildren, Ryan B. (Carol) Mahr; Alan and Brian Thornburg; Colin Kell and Victor (Amy) Clark; great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; along with many friends. Memorial service will be held 11:00 am, Tuesday, April 5, 2016 with calling one hour prior at the SCHOEDINGER HILLTOP CHAPEL 3030 W. Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio. Interment to follow at Sunset Cemetery.
