I just found out about Mr Bowman's passing.  I worked for him from 1974 to 1982 on Dublin Rd.  We liked to prank him when we could, and loved it when he laughed.  He had several celebrity friends and we enjoyed serving them.  I remember your family so well, and send condolences to all of you. May Jesus and your memories sustain you. Love, Laura Peek

A legendary restauranteur and colorful man in all aspects of his life. He had many gifts he gladly shared with others. So many fond memories of the times spent with the Bowman family both in Columbus and Sarasota. My deepest condolences to Marc and the entire Bowman family.

I am so sorry to hear about Mr. Bowman's passing. My mother, Donna Runyon worked for him at The Suburban for many years. I remember him riding his motorcycle and the New Years Eve celebrations at the restaurant.

Heaven is definetly getting a great one. Mrs. Bowman , Marc, and the whole family, my condolences go out to all of you. I often would call your Dad Mr. B . I will never forget the nice things Mr. B did for us through out our youth and Highschool years. I will always consider Marc one of my best friends ever even though our lives have gone in different directions . Mr. Bowman had a heart of gold, and he gave people so many opportunities to better their lives through his restaurant business.  He gave Marc and I the opportunity to make and sell his line of salad dressing at retail level and taught us business skills that I used later in life . He let us go to prom and other occasions in his big gold caddie, and often had a special table for us at the greatest steak house in town . The Suburban of course. He gave us a chance to meet great celebrities like Mohammed Ali and Lou Ferrigno. No one dressed as stylish as Mr. B, you could spot him a mile away. His personality was just as out going as his clothes . He made those younger years so much fun for all of his kids friends . May you rest in peace Mr. B.  You and Mrs. Bowman raised one great family.

Jack was a superb owner of one of the finest Steak houses in Columbus, Ohio.
I worked for Huntington National Bank and we always entertained our clients at his fine restaurant.
Jack would come around and make sure that everything was as we hoped with great food and service.
He was in my estimation one of the finest restaurant owners in Central, Ohio.
I'm sure he will certainly be missed by family and friends.
