Jack B. Lake

Jack Lake, age 88, of Bexley, passed away Tuesday, September 18, 2018 in Petosky, Michigan. He was born July 20, 1930 in Columbus, Ohio, son of the late John and Helen (Black) Lake. He was a real estate appraiser for over 40 years. Jack is survived by his sons, Jack (JoAnn) Lake II and Greig (Steve Root) Lake; son-in-law, Troy Sierer; grandchildren, Andrew (Allyson), Nicole, Madelyn, Josh, Lydia, and Isaiah; five great-grandchildren, Madyson, Meredith, Andrew and Conrad. Also survived by sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Jo Anne Lake, of Calif, George (Marilyn) Rafferty and Alice (Phil) Bush; many loving nieces, nephews and friends. Besides his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Mary Dixie Lake; daughter, Leah Sierer; grandson Jack B. Lake III and brother, Frank Lake. Veteran U.S. Marines serving during the Korean War. He was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church. Jack enjoyed reading and spending time being surrounded by his family. Funeral Service will be held 9:30 am Saturday, September 30, 2018 at Trinity Episcopal Church, 125 E. Broad St., with The Rev. Richard Burnett officiating.
