Jack Wilkinson, age 68, of Powell, died Thursday, June 9, 2011. He was born September 22, 1942 in Columbus to the late Edward and Pauline (Eynon) Wilkinson. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Air Force and worked for the City of Columbus for many years. But first and foremost, Jack was a family man. He adored his family and was always there to support them in times of need. He sincerely loved his wife, Teri, and was a great husband to her for 27 years. He especially loved spending time with his sons and grandkids. His vacation time was often spent with his wife and family at his favorite spot, Myrtle Beach. He was a loyal Buckeye supporter, car fanatic, superb bowler and particularly bad golfer. He was also passionate about cleaning, organizing and repairing, as well as being a consummate perfectionist. He was known as the go-to guy for any question you had. Despite all of his commitments and the many favors he did for other people, he always saved time to greet Teri in the morning with a hot cup of tea. Jack was many things, but quite simply: he was a beautiful man. He was loved by many and will be sorely missed by all. Please help us all celebrate his life. He is survived by his wife Teri, sons John (Carolyn) Wilkinson, Jim (Kati) Wilkinson, Jim (Michelle) Harris, Ritchie (Missy) Harris, sister Barbara (Jim) Gustafson, brother Ted (Molly) Wilkinson, grandchildren Brooke, Mason, Josh, Jason and Drew, sister-in-law Jeri (Wayne) Howard, brothers-in-law Doug (Michelle) McDaniel, Jon (Kathy) McDaniel, mother-in-law Rosemary McDaniel, numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Family will receive friends Sunday 2-4 and 6-8 PM at SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 N. High St. (1/2 mile south of I-270), where a funeral service will be held Monday at 10:30 AM with Rev. Marian Redding officiating. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery. Online condolences may be made to www.schoedinger.com
