Jacqueline "Jackie" Sue (McBride) Conkel

Jacqueline “Jackie” Sue (McBride) Conkel, age 72, of Orient Ohio peacefully went home to be with The Lord on Friday, March 31, 2017 with family by her side. She was a loving sister, devoted mother, grandmother & dear friend to many. Jackie worked in human resources and office management for over 37 years. She was a tireless worker and was willing to do anything to get the job done. She also enjoyed her time later in life keeping the teenage employees at the Putt-n-Play in Grove City in line. Jackie was the true definition of selflessness. She had a generous spirit and spent her life completely devoted to her family and friends. Jackie was a unique individual who touched the lives of everyone with whom she came into contact. She had a special talent for making those around her feel loved, appreciated and could quickly make a stranger feel as though they were an instant member of her family. Jackie, lovingly referred to as “Bird” had a fun-loving and ornery personality that touched the lives of many and will be sorely missed. Preceded in death by her father & mother, Paul & Roberta McBride; sister, Donna Bennett; brother; Jerry McBride; son, Dallas Timothy Conkel. Jackie is survived by son, Dwayne “Ed” (Rene’) Conkel; grandchildren, Ryan (Mandy) Conkel & Lindsay Conkel; great-grandbabies, Brayden & Brantly Conkel; sisters, Delores Breckenridge, Dorothy Travis, Deanna Fox (John), Judy Cupp (Keith), Janet Clark (Tom); many precious nieces, nephews, family members & loving friends. Friends may call 11 – 1PM Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at Canaan Land FWB Church, 2777 Gantz Rd., Grove City, OH 43123 where the funeral Service will be held at 1 PM. Pastor Shawn Beauchamp, officiating.
