

James O. Brick, age 77, passed away peacefully at his residence on Tuesday, September 18, 2018. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Marlene; sons, Jimmy (Kimberly) Brick and Scott Brick; grandchildren, Ryan, Justin, and Sydney; niece, Staci (Daryl) Woolf and numerous other nieces, nephews, friends and family members. Jim is preceded in death by parents, Robert and Myrtle; brother, William (Gail). Jim attended Otterbein College where he was a member of the Glee club and Alpha Psi Fraternity, then graduated from The Ohio State University, College of Veterinarian Medicine, owner and retired from the Broadway Veterinary Hospital in 2003, Sertoma member, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation life member, member of Grove City Elks, Vice President of Ohio Aquaculture Association, member of OVMA, past chairman of Ducks Unlimited Grove City Chapter. Jim was an avid hunter and outdoors man, a 10 year trail veterinarian for the Iditarod sled dog race, as well as Race to the Sky (MT), John Beargrease (MN), CanAM (ME) and Pyrina (Spain) races. He had a love for country music especially, Willie Nelson, Alaskan fishing trips and hunting with his sons, grandsons and friends across America. Family will have a memorial service, where Jim was a member, at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, 114 North High Street in Port Washington, OH 43837 at 3 p.m. on Saturday, September 22, 2018. A celebration of Doc's life will be celebrated at a later date in Grove City, OH. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, Ohio Chapter or to St. Paul's United Church of Christ. Family has entrusted Schoedinger Grove City Chapel with final arrangements.
