

James Thomas Budden age 75, of Columbus died Saturday, February 25, 2017. Jim was born in Cleveland, Ohio son of Thomas and Virginia Budden. Jim grew up in Toledo, Ohio, was an excellent student and played football for Ottawa Hills High School. Jim completed his college education at The Ohio State University and was a member of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity. He received his MBA in Finance from Miami University in 1967. During his career he successfully managed retirement accounts for almost 40 years. Later in life, he enjoyed traveling to The St. Clair Inn, St. Clair, MI to watch the Great Lakes freighters, and to Gatlinburg, TN where he enjoyed the bears and the scenery in the Smokey Mountains. He enjoyed collecting European arms and amour. Jim adored his faithful dog and companion, Winston. Jim attended Trinity Methodist Church in Upper Arlington. Jim will be greatly missed by his loving wife and best friend of 30 years, Pamela L. Budden; brother, Alexander W. Budden; children, Julie C. (Vincent Schneider) Budden, James A. (Katherine) Budden, Julie N. (Darren) DeVito, and Michael M. (Annette) Marsh; grandchildren, Andrew and William Budden, Kaitlyn and Myles Marsh, Olivia and Juliana DeVito. Jim is also survived by many other extended family members and dear friends. The family would like to extend much heartfelt thanks to Hospice and the wonderful caregivers/friends who assisted in caring for Jim. Memorial Service will be held at 10 A.M. Saturday, March 4, 2017 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Rd., where family will receive friends from 9 A.M. until time of service Saturday. Inurnment immediately following service at Wesley Chapel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kobacker House, c/o OhioHealth Foundation, P.O.
