James R. Grant, 69 of Columbus, died Monday, May 27, 2013. He was born March 3, 1944 in Circleville, OH to the late Harry and Katherine (Harris) Grant. He was a 1962 graduate of East High School and a 1966 graduate of Bowling Green State University. He played football for both schools. Before his untimely illness, he was employed by Columbus Compact Corp. Jim attended St. Paul Methodist Church. He was a member of the Merrymakers Club Inc. and enjoyed golf, tennis, racquetball and spending time with family and friends. Jim is survived by his son Todd (Laura) Grant, grandchildren Apollo, Grace, Orion, Birdie and Dreya, siblings Janet (Ed) Sullivan and Neil (Betty) Grant. Family will receive friends Friday from 11 AM until time of service at 1 PM at SCHOEDINGER EAST CHAPEL, 5360 E. Livingston Ave. Interment will follow in Glen Rest Memorial Estate.
