

James Fred Hensley, 84, of Columbus, passed away on March 8, 2016. He was born in Martin County, KY on July 28, 1931 to the late Samuel and Bessie (Mollett) Hensley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife of almost 60 years Lillian (Brewer) Hensley; and his siblings Homer, Walter, Sam, Mary, Ruth, and Louise. James proudly served in the US Army. James retired from Columbus Coated Fabrics after 42 years of service. He then worked at Worthington Schools for almost 14 years. He was a dedicated family man who will be greatly missed by his children John Hensley, Deborah (Park) Lipp, Karen (Doug Parmer) Knott, James C. Hensley and Lisa D. Hensley; three grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours for James will be held from 3-6 pm Monday, March 14, 2016 at the SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 North High Street. His funeral will be held there on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at 11am with Pastor Curtis Booth officiating. Burial will follow at Green Lawn Cemetery.
