James Lawrence Hutchison

James Lawrence "Jim" Hutchison, age 89, of Delaware, went to Heaven on Friday, January 24, 2014, surrounded by family. He was born to the late Lawrence S. and Victoria R. Hutchison on June 4, 1924 in New York, NY. Being very devoted to family, Jim was a loving son, husband, father, and grandfather. He served during WWII through the Navy's V-12 Program at Cornell University. Jim worked as an economist for the paper industry for nearly 60 years, first for International Paper Co., then American Paper Institute, and finally as a consultant. Other passions included his Christian faith, golf, gardening, Buckeye teams, sports, his beloved Schnauzers, and being a member of the pioneering group at Willow Brook at Delaware Run. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 62 years, Roberta Ruth "Bobbie" (Duncan). He is survived by his loving children, Lawrence J. Hutchison, John R. Hutchison, Nancy R. Hutchison; grandson, James P. Hutchison; extended family and friends. The family greatly appreciates the care provided by Willow Brook at Delaware Run nurses and staff, and by Heartland Hospice of Marion. Memorial service to be held on Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at 5:00 pm at the Schoedinger Worthington Chapel, 6699 N. High St., Worthington, followed by visitation from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
