James Walter Keller

James "Jim" Walter Keller, 78, of Columbus, died January 1, 2016. He was born April 24, 1937 in Columbus to the late Leroy and Mable Keller. He was a Vietnam Veteran with the U.S. Air Force and a corrections officer with the Ohio State Peniteniary and then with Orient Corrections Institution. He was a member of the VFW #3424 and American Legion Post #144. Jim enjoyed gardening, fishing, metal detecting and target practice. He was the best husband, father and grandfather. He was a very good cook and had a great sense of humor. He is preceded in death by siblings Fred Keller, Delores Kitts, Richard Keller and Betty Downs and granddaughter Hope. Jim is survived by Christine (Watts) Keller his loving wife of 42 years, children Julie (Jeremy) McClintock, Susan (Mike Bowe) Keller, Angela Keller, Christopher (Lisa) Keller, Andrew (Dawn) Keller, David (Kim) Keller and James Michael Keller, grandchildren Justin, Ryan, Kayleigh, Heather, Robert, Amanda, Brianna, A.J., Kellie and Sydnie, 9 great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
