Jim was born February 2, 1963 in Jamestown, New York to Raymond and Pauline (Johnson) Komula. His father preceded him in death. He graduated from Jamestown High School in 1981. Although Jim worked at variety of places, including Worthington City Schools and Gahanna City Schools and most recently for CPC logistics, he will be remembered most for who he was outside of work. Jim put people at ease with his wit and sense of humor. Good with his hands, he could create or fix almost anything. He could sketch, write poetry, was a fan of a wide variety of music, and enjoyed singing in the church choir.
Jim leaves behind his former wife and friend Maritta (Honaker) Komula, his son Peter Komula and his daughter Chelsea Komula, all of whom he loved and who loved him. He will be missed by his siblings Michael, Paula Kirschler, David, Sheila Hanson and Kathleen Parsons; his mother Pauline and numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Saturday, September 12, 2015 from 3-4:30PM at New Apostolic Church, 23 Morse Road, Columbus, Ohio, 43214, where a memorial service will be held at 5PM.
