James Patrick McFadden

James Patrick "Jim" McFadden, age 62, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, October 8, 2014. He was born in Ashland, Pennsylvania on May 9, 1952. Jim earned his Bachelor's degree from Notre Dame University and went on to earn his Master's degree from Villanova University and The Ohio State University. He worked as a financial advisor for Wells Fargo. Jim was a longtime member of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church where he served as a lector and was a former coach of the St. Mary Magdalene basketball team. Jim was an avid fan of Notre Dame. He was also very family oriented and enjoyed researching his ancestry. Jim was a kind, compassionate person who touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know him. He was preceded in death by his father, James V. McFadden; and siblings, Maureen and Sean McFadden. Jim is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Stefanie Leone McFadden; sons, Kevin (Amanda) McFadden and Matthew (Laura) McFadden; grandchildren, Connor, Logan, and Carleigh; mother, Deloris McFadden; siblings, Kathleen Rupprecht, Sheila (Joe) Donnelly, Colleen (Ahmet) Corapcioglu, Patrick (Cheryl) McFadden, and Timothy (Shannon) McFadden; and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call on Saturday, October 11, 2014 from 8:30AM-9:30AM at the SCHOEDINGER HILLTOP CHAPEL, 3030 West Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00AM at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, 473 S. Roys Avenue, Columbus, Ohio 43204. Fr. Stanley Benecki, celebrant. Interment will follow at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, Lewis Center, Ohio.
