

A memorial service to celebrate the life of James Charles Noble, Jr., 68 of Newark, will be held on Monday, October 5, 2009 at 1:30 PM at the Criss-Schoedinger Funeral Home, 179 Granville Street, Newark, with Rev. Dr. Charles W. Noble, Sr. officiating.
James was born in Smithville, Ohio on December 22, 1940 to the late James Charles Noble, Sr. and Leora (Palmer) Noble. He went to be with the Lord on September 30, 2009 while surrounded by his family.
Prior to retirement, James was a machinist with Morrow-Mackie for many years. He was a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Patricia (Berry) Noble, whom he married in April 1974; one daughter, Dana Noble of Newark; two sons, Damon and James Noble, all of Newark; one brother, William Noble of Georgia; four grandchildren; and numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, Theodore Noble.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
