James V Page

James Vaughn Page 85, passed peacefully on October 7, 2022, from a lengthy illness. Born on February 14, 1937, to parents Frances Jenkins and Thomas W. Page of Uniontown, PA.

James attended Uniontown High School where he was active in basketball, volleyball and ran track. He entered the U.S. Marine Corps following graduation from high school.

Upon leaving the Marine Corps. he moved to Miami, FL and met his first wife, Betty Sands, and in that marriage one child was born, Terri P. Page (Miami, FL). In his second marriage, of 58 years, to Gloria Page they had four children Anita D. Walker (William), Brenda A. Reed (Steven), Crystal L. Page (died at childbirth) and Derrick A. Mills (Emily).

After many years of living in Florida, James and his family moved to Columbus, OH where he then owned Page Construction, a successful business where he worked for over 30 years. He was incredibly proud of the variety of projects completed under his ownership. He was especially honored to work at The Ohio State University working on many projects at OSU Medical Centers.

James is survived by his wife Gloria and beloved siblings; Wanda Ramsey (PA), Jo Ann Harris (Clifford) (PA), Lonnie Ray Gillian (Charell) (MD) and Michael F. Page (CA). Children; Anita D. Walker, Brenda A. Reed, Terri P. Page and Derrick A. Mills. Great grandchildren James D. Mills, Rachael D. Mills and Jordan A. Mills. Sister-in-law Deborah Page and a host of nieces, nephews and special friends Jack and Paulette Marsh, Donald and Carol Shoemaker.

A special thanks to the loyal employees who worked with James at Page Construction, and to Ohio Living Agency for all the care provided to James.

A visitation for James will be held Thursday, October 13, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM with military honors starting at 5pm at Schoedinger North, 5554 Karl Road, Columbus, Ohio 43229.
