Larry and I were so sorry to hear of Dr. Scott's passing.  Our entire family thought the world of him.  He was so patient and kind to us.  He was a skilled and compassionate dentist.  He was always upbeat and funny and we all felt like he was not only our dentist but also a friend. We felt fortunate to know him.I loved visiting with Opal in the office, and I loved  hearing about the family.  He was so proud of everyone and his attitude just made one feel happy and optimistic. I am sad for Opal and all of your family.  It was an honor to know Dr. Scott.

Dear Opal and family, 
We are so sad to learn of Dr. Scott's passing.  He was like family to us.  His bright smile, gentle nature and sunny disposition could always make our day.   His wit and wisdom on how to take the stress out of dentistry was truly a gift.  And the best part of any visit was the hug before we left.  Our Mother never trusted any other dentist than Dr. Scott, she knew he was special.   
Dr. Scott and Opal even came to Charlotte's wedding, which meant the world to our family.  What a true blessing he was to us, and to so many others in our area.  We were so blessed to have known him.  
Now may the Lord bless your family with the warmth of his love and comfort during this time of his passing.  Grace and peace to you.

I wish to convey condolences and sympathy to Opal and her family. I was so saddened to learn of Jim’s passing; Jim was very kind, funny, and a genuinely nice guy—a keen sportsman and a true gentleman.  I knew him primarily through golf and though we didn’t play together much, we shared stories of our triumphs and troubles on the course. He always had a big smile and an upbeat comment or humorous story to share.  My best memory was the hospitality extended to me and my friend Connie during the LPGA tournaments at Tartan Fields. Jim and Opal were there and we met Jean and her family. They were all so kind and welcoming—a Scott family trait, it seems.  God bless and comfort you all in your time of grief.

Lit a candle in memory of James Forrest Scott

Dr. Scott was my guardian angel.  I had a bad experience with another dentist.  I had not seen anyone in several years. I got a terrible toothache and the pain was unbearable.  My step sister was a patient of Dr. Scott. She called him and they got me in right away. I was covered with hives I was so scared. Dr. Scott came in and talked to me. I was so patient with me and so kind. He relieved my pain and restored my trust.  He cared for me until he retired.   He also cared for my mother Kathryn Saunders until she passed. I can't say enough about him. And Mrs. Scott was amazing also. I came to love them. I would love to talk to Mrs. Scott sometime.   My number is 740 707 8014.  My sympathy to the Scott family  . My sincere condolences to the Scott Family. I've always remembered Doctor Scott as a great man and it was a privilege to meet him. Hoping you all will be blessed with God's peace, comfort, and many happy memories.

To Opal, Jean, Richard, Rachel and family,
We are sad to hear of Jim's passing. We will miss him and remember the good times. My favorite memory of him is being on the golf course.  I'd made a typically poor shot, maybe even having  missed the ball entirely. Jim, is his sympathetic and caring way, looked distressed and said to me , "Keep your head down!!!"
