James Raymond Wall IV, age 34, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 1, 2025, at Grant Hospital with his family by his side after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on May 7, 1991, in Columbus, Ohio, James—lovingly known as "Jimmy"—was the beloved son of James R. Wall III and Pamela R. Wall. He was very proud to be the fourth generation to bear the name James Raymond Wall, so much that he carried on the name to his son, James R Wall V. Jimmy deeply loved his son James, his parents, sister, nieces, nephew, aunts, uncles, and extended family. Jimmy graduated from The Ohio State University. He was an avid Buckeye football fan and a proud Buckeye for life. Jimmy had a passion for youth hockey and made a lasting impact on young athletes while working at the local rinks where he helped develop skills both on and off the ice. He was an instrumental figure in developing Mindshield 4 Kids Foundation where he found purpose and camaraderie working alongside his mentor and dear friend, Dave Patrick. He is survived by his loving parents, James R. Wall III and Pamela R. Wall; his son, James R. Wall V; his sister, Kati King; two nieces, Natalie and Holly King and nephew, Bradley King; extended family members, and his beloved dog, Mallory. A private family Memorial Mass will be held at St. Brigid of Kildare Catholic Church with inurnment to follow at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mindshield 4 Kids Foundation (MS4K.org), or Capital Amateur Hockey Association with The Grit and Preservation Scholarship Fund (CAHAGP)—causes close to Jimmy’s heart.
