James E. Wiggins

James E. Wiggins Jr., age 85, of Upper Arlington, OH, passed away Tuesday, November 5, 2013. He was born on October 9, 1928 to James E. and Margaret Wiggins. Jim was a generous, fun loving, and outgoing man. He had a wealth of knowledge, always had a story to tell, and was a mentor to many. Jim graduated from Upper Arlington High School and received his B.S. Degree from Ohio State. He was the owner and president of Columbus Bookkeeping Service until his retirement in 1999. He loved cheering on the Buckeyes, horseracing, and playing gin rummy and bridge with friends. He was also an avid tennis and golf player. He was a "legend" on the putting green. Jim was a member of Scioto Country Club, The Club Pelican Bay in Naples, FL and formerly a member of the Columbus Athletic Club. He was a Big Brother and gave to many charities in the Columbus area. He enjoyed going to lunch with family and friends. Jim is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Linda Wiggins; sons, Jim and Doug; daughter, Nancy Levine; step- daughters, Lisa (Andy) Ranft and Lori Krieg; grandchildren, Joel Nelson, Hester and Dani Levine, Jimmy and Franny Wiggins, Ryan Todd, Grayson, Noah, and Colby Ranft; great-grandson, Lincoln Todd; beloved German shepherd, Jessie; extended family and friends.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at 10am at First Community Church Sanctuary, 1320 Cambridge Blvd., Columbus, OH 43212. Rev. Jim Long officiating. Interment at Union Cemetery. Friends may wish to contribute to Franklin County Children's Services, 855 W Mound St,
