Jane H. Harris

Jane (Hess) Harris, age 82, passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2021. Jane was born in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Arthur and Juanita Hess. She grew up in Grandview Heights and from there went on to The Ohio State University to receive a Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts. Jane stayed very active in the community. She was a present board member and past president of the Grandview Heights High School Alumni Association; board member of the Grandview Heights/Marble Cliff Historical Society; member and treasurer of the Women's Auxiliary of the Buckeye Ranch; a docent and past docent chair for the Columbus Museum of Art. Jane will be deeply missed by her loving husband Ron Harris; daughter Molly (Kevin) Johnson; stepson Scott (Patricia) Harris; and stepdaughter Susanna (Michael) Noon. All who knew her found her to be kind, loving and fun to be with. She made people feel special. She was affectionately known as "Geeky" to her 7 grandchildren - Leah and Anna Johnson, Tomy and Belen Harris, and Phin, Charlie and Ada Noon. She was also fond of her given middle name - "Aeronca". Her dad gave her that name in lieu of buying an airplane.
