

Jane Irene Neumeier, 62, Lewis Center, Ohio died Wednesday at the Kobacker House, Columbus. She was born June 30, 1949 to Ludwin A. and Marcella A. (Ruen) Wannemacher. On November 28, 1970, she married William J. Neumeier, who survives her.
Jane is also survived by daughters, Erin (Jim) Baker and Kristen Neumeier (Kevin Kissling); grandsons, Jimmy, Markus, Nicholas Baker, and Sevastian Neumeier; brother, Eugene (Cheri) Wannemacher; sisters, Ann Wannemacher, Mary (Dan) Fischer; Brothers-in-law, Roger (Candy) Neumeier, Donald (Lois) Neumeier, Thomas (Tami) Neumeier, Jerry (Doris) Neumeier, Ben (Cheryl) Neumeier; Gary (Marsha) Neumeier; sisters-in-law, Kay (Roger) Schlereth, Mary Ellen (Clete) Vonderwell, and Joan (David) Nijak; numerous nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ludwin and Marcella Wannemacher; brother, Gerald Wannemacher; aunt, Martha Ruen, father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Alice Neumeier; and precious infant son, Brian Michael.
Jane was a 1967 graduate of Delphos St. John High School and a 1970 graduate of St. Rita School of Nursing as a registered nurse. She was employed at St. Rita Medical Center, Lima; Ohio Eye and Revision Advanced Laser Eye Center, Mansfield, and Ohio ENT Surgeons, Columbus, Ohio. Jane truly loved her profession. She was well known for her beautiful gardens and flowers or the handmade cards she sent. A gifted quilter and seamstress, her works will be coveted. Jane was known as “the stocking aunt” by the Neumeier family, crocheting over 80 Christmas Stockings for family members. But most of all, she will also be remembered as a devoted and loving wife, mother, “Grammie” and sister. Her acts of kindness will be treasured by the many people she touched in her life.
Family will receive friends Friday, February 24, 2012 from 5-8 p.m. with a prayer service at 5 p.m. at SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 N. High St., Worthington (Just south of I-270). Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Michael Catholic Church, 5750 N. High St., Worthington, Fr. Stash Dailey, Celebrant.
