Janet E. Doty

Janet E. Doty, age 75, of Hilliard, Ohio peacefully passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2015. She was born and raised in Piqua, Ohio on June 4, 1939. Janet was a graduate of Piqua High School, Class of 1957. She graduated from The Ohio State University College of Nursing in 1961. Following graduation, Janet married her best friend and husband, Louis. The two were united in marriage at Piqua Baptist Church in June of 1961. Janet worked as an office nurse for Dr. Carl Roth and Dr. Greg Brooks. She then worked at OSU Student Health Center as a Staff Nurse and retired from Columbus City Schools in 1999. Janet loved to travel far and away. Her favorite places were Hawaii and Australia. She was a member of Eastern Star and The Ohio State University Wexner Women's Service Board. Janet was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Joseph and V. Justine Bausman. She is survived by her loving husband of over 53 years, Louis H. Doty; sons, Dr. Jeffrey Doty and Michael Doty; Grandchildren, Tyler, Ally, and Brooke Doty; brothers, James E. Bausman of Piqua, Ohio and John E. Bausman of Piqua, Ohio; cousin, Kay Drager of Englewood, Ohio; nephews and nieces, Jason (Deepa) Bausman of Columbus, Ohio, Shawn (Amanda) Bausman of Atlanta, Georgia, Meg (Scott) Evans of Cleveland, Ohio, Ben (Loren) Williamson of Fairfield, Connecticut, Scott Bausman of Piqua, Ohio, Dawn Stevenson of Tampa, Florida and Nikki Beattie of Monroe, Ohio; extended family and friends.

Friends may visit from 5-8 pm on Friday, March 20, 2015 at the SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger RD.

Funeral service will be begin at 10 am on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at First Community Church North Campus Grace Hall, 3777 Dublin Road, Columbus, Ohio 43221. Dr. Richard Wing officiating.
