Janet A. Gibbons, age 92, passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2015. She was born on September 30, 1922 to the late John and Anna Gardocki. In her younger years, Janet was recognized as the Best Dressed Woman in Columbus. She also enjoyed volunteering for many worthy causes. Janet was a very athletic woman who loved golfing, skiing, and boating. Everyone who knew Janet recognized her as a remarkable and spunky woman who was independent to the end. She was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, and friend who will be missed by us all. She is preceded in death by her husbands, Robert J. Gallagher, David Gibbons and George Darmanian; son, Rob Gallagher and brother, Chet Gardocki. Janet is survived by her son, Shawn (LaDeema) Gallagher; grandchildren, Shawn P. Gallagher, Roger (Nicole) Vest, Heidi (James) Meek, Natasha (Tyler) Gallagher and Maria Gallagher along with 6 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 2-4pm and 6-8pm, Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at the SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL 1051 E. Johnstown RD. (at Beecher RD.) Gahanna.
