

Janet E. Patton, age 82, passed away on Monday, February 17, 2014. Born October 14, 1931 to the late Harriet and Kenneth Patton and predeceased by sister and brother–in-law Diane “Dee Dee” and Neil Guisinger. A graduate of West High school, and retired from Ohio Bell after 40+ years of dedicated service, and a member of the Pioneer Club. She was the manager of the McGlaughlin Oil Women’ Softball team and was inducted into the Columbus Slo-Pitch Softball Hall of Fame in 1996. An avid OSU fan and tailgating aficionado!
Janet loved, and was deeply loved by her family and friends and she traveled the country and the world with them. She and her “black box” saw many sights, sporting venues, and good times.
Janet was a special person who made an indelible mark on every life she touched. She will be greatly missed by those she has left behind, including her nephews Robert (Jacqueline) Guisinger, Daniel (Karen) Guisinger and Michael (Marc Jepsen) Boldt; niece Susan (Alphonso) Blain; great- nieces and nephews Sara and Jacob Guisinger, Michael and Jenna Boldt, Kabiah Blain, dear friend Cookie Ebert, and an incredible amount of life-long friends. Special thanks to Margie, Lisa, and Linda for your support and loving care.
Her friends and family will Celebrate Janet’s Life at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 1, 2014 at Schoedinger Northeast Chapel, 1051 E. Johnstown Road in Gahanna, where family will receive friends from 11:30am to the time of service. Funeral Celebrant, Andrew Hoover.
