

Jean Anne Burkholder, age 88, passed away peacefully Monday, April 30, 2018. She was born to the late Andrew C. and Ruth F. (Williamson) Burcky in Bluffton, OH. In addition to her parents, Jean Anne is preceded in death by the love of her life, Robert P. "Bob" Burkholder. Jean Anne will be greatly missed by her 2 adoring sons, Robert J. "Jeff" (Joe Dominguez) Burkholder of Atlanta, GA and Scott W. (Denise) Burkholder; Grandchildren, Brad, Olivia, Abigail and Grant of Granville, OH. She is also survived by her loving brother Dr. William D. Burcky of Collinsville, IL. Jean Anne lived by positive spiritual principals, she loved her life, her husband, her sons, Bill and Jo Ann, her extended family, her friends and work colleagues. She was passionate about OSU college basketball and any sport with a ball. It was sheer joy for Jean Anne to attend her Grandchildren's games and cheerleading events with her dearest friend, Jean Casey. She was a phenomenal cook and homemaker -- creative, beautiful, smart, savvy, careful with money, 100 percent honest, grateful for her many blessings and demonstrated humility. She loved clothes, singing in her church choir, bridge, the beach, knitting, sewing, arts and crafts, color, texture and entertaining. Lots of people loved her because "she's so incredibly lovable." Family will receive friends on Monday, May 7, 2018 from 4-7 pm at SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Rd. Columbus, OH 43229. A Memorial Service will be held at 10 am on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at Overbrook Presbyterian Church, 4131 N High St., Columbus, OH 43214. Pastor Bill Gause officiating. Inurnment will take place at Reformed Mennonite Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Overbrook Presbyterian Church.
