Jean Gilmore

Jean Gilmore, age 95, passed away on August 14, 2023, at Country View of Sunbury. She was the daughter of the late Raymond and Pauline Radford, of Chanute, Kansas. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great­grand mother and aunt and will be deeply missed by all.

Jean was born on October 15, 1927 and grew up in Columbus. She graduated from. West High School. She was a life long fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes, especially the basketball Bucks.

Jean was an avid lover and compassionate friend to animals of all kinds. She was always quick to step up and provide the necessary care and shelter to all those in need, from the backyard squirrels to a lost dog.

Jean loved, as much as anything, cheering on her grandchildren while attending their sporting events and for many years she enjoyed being part of numerous bowling teams, at several Columbus bowling establishments.

In addition to her parents, Jean is proceeded in death by her husband, of 54 years, Don Gilmore and her twin sister, Jane Prushing of Croton, Ohio. She is survived by her 4 children, Karen Arms, Tammy Cacchio, Don Gilmore and Kimberlee (Mike) Ullom; grandchildren, Joseph (Nikki) Cacchio, Carrie (Rich) Collins and Logan Ullom; great grandchildren, Olivia Cacchio, Claire Cacchio, Everly Collins and Mason Collins. Numerous extended family, fur family and friends.

A private funeral service will be held for family and designated close friends. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Columbus Humane, 3015 Scioto Darby Executive Ct, Hilliard, Ohio,
