

Jean was born February 27, 1935 in Steubenville, Ohio to the late Sarah Ann and John W. Driscoll, Sr. She attended Steubenville High School, class of 1952. In the 60s, she moved to the Columbus area and became a bookkeeper for Newark Hospital. She retired as a Payroll Supervisor with Columbus Public Schools.
Jean lived her life to the fullest. She was a world traveler and went on many adventures with her very best friends. She went on two African Safaris and explored many countries in Europe. Jean loved animals, especially the big cats. She glowed when she got her picture taken holding a lion cub. She also loved watching sports, especially the Steelers, The Ohio State University Buckeyes and the Dodgers. Jean loved cooking and baking. Thanksgiving was one of her favorite holidays where you could eat her famous pizzelles and pumpkin rolls.
In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her brothers, John “Skip” Driscoll, Jr, Bob M. Driscoll, and Tom Driscoll; nephews, John Edward Driscoll and Michael Warren Driscoll.
Jean is survived by her nieces, Sara (Ian) Dancer; Janice (Tim) Donahue; great-nieces and nephews, Tara (Phillip) Shields, David (Gregory Barton) Donahue, Sean Donahue, Joshua (Maleah) Dancer, Andrew Dancer, Samantha Dancer; great-great-niece and nephew, Maverick and Scarlett Shields; and many other family and friends.
Family will accept friends Monday, January 16, 2023 from 11:00am to 12:00pm at Schoedinger North, 5554 Karl Rd, Columbus where funeral service will follow at 12:00pm with Pastor Marc Shields officiating.
