Jean Marie Stanley

Jean was born March 20, 1927 in Mystic, Iowa to the late Ferdinand and Pauline (Pelletier) Lambert. Jean, a devoted homemaker, was married to the late Francis Lee Stanley for 62 years who preceded her in death in February of 2009. Together they enjoyed dancing and fishing. She and Francis were members of Easton Place United Methodist Church in Des Moines, IA for 50 years. Together they raised three children who survive; Charles, U.S. Army retired (Elizabeth) Stanley of Shelbyville, IL, Francean (Norm) Hughes of Gahanna, OH and Julie (David) Drew of Des Moines, IA. She is also survived by grandchildren Lynette (Brian) McReynolds and their children Bradley, Jared and Emma, Nicole Wowaka and her children Aaron, Andrew, Afton, Victor and Gage, Angel (Matt) Mumma and their child Emerson, Afton Lash and her child Robert; Matthew Drew, Makenzie Drew and Dana Drew; sisters Judy (Dale) Boat and Shirley Lambert as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brothers Raymond and Charles Lambert; sister Adeline Hoffman and sister and brother-in-law Colleen and Eddie Hohl.

Visitation will be held Friday, September 4, 2015 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST, 1051 East Johnstown Rd., from 6-7 PM where funeral service will be held Saturday at 10:30 AM with Celebrant Andrew Hoover officiating. Burial will follow at Mifflin Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mother Angeline McCrory Manor, Columbus, OH.
