Jeanne Ann Fletcher

Jeanne Ann Fawcett Fletcher of Upper Arlington, age 91, passed away Sunday, October 4, 2015 at home, comforted in her final days by her family and OhioHealth Hospice. She was born December 28, 1923 in Wheeling, West Virginia to David Walter Fawcett and Rachel Florence (Thomas) Fawcett.

Raised in St. Clairsville and Bridgeport, Ohio, she graduated Bridgeport High School in 1941. She then attended nurse's training at White Cross Hospital in Columbus, graduating in 1945, and received additional education at Ohio State. She was a member of the Cadet Nurse Corps until the end of World War II, serving at Great Lakes Naval Hospital in Chicago. She practiced nursing her entire adult life until the age of 75, working in many different jobs including emergency room, doctor's offices, Medicare claims processing, and urgent care. For many years she was active in the Riverside - White Cross Alumni Association.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Billie Lincoln Fletcher, originally of Springfield IL; and adopted son, William Robert (Brenda Barnes) Fletcher. She is survived by her son, Thomas Lincoln (Diane Cattran) Fletcher of Grandview Heights; brothers, Thomas Walter Fawcett of Plain City and Richard Morgan (Lois) Fawcett of Munroe Falls; grandsons, David and Charles Fletcher of Grandview Heights; granddaughters, Heather (Todd) Woodall of Adairsville, Georgia, Elizabeth Fletcher of Hilliard, Becky (Bryan) Stroth of Celina, and Katie (Brad) Willis of Mechanicsburg; six great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Family will receive friends Saturday, October 31, 2015 from 2:00 p.m. until time of her memorial service at 3:30 p.m. at Boulevard Presbyterian Church, 1235 Northwest Boulevard, Columbus, OH 43212. Interment will be at Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville, OH in a private family service.
