Jeffrey John Snider

Jeffrey John "Jeff" Snider, 62, passed away Friday, April 20, 2018. He was born January 8, 1956 in Springfield, Ohio to the late Thomas and Betty (Mentges) Snider. He was a 1974 graduate of Grove City High School and a graduate of Wilmington College. Jeff was a teacher at Prairie Lincoln Elementary and Westland H.S. for many years. He was passionate about football and track and held several coaching positions over the years at Westland H.S., Grove City H.S., and Grove City Christian School during his career. He had a lasting impact on many of the students and athletes with whom he came in contact. His family was very important to him, and he loved spending time with them, especially his grandchildren. Jeff was always encouraging and had a positive outlook on life. He also had a great sense of humor. Jeff was an avid motorcycle rider and fisherman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Melinda "Sue" Bangart. Jeff is survived by his children, Troy (Melissa) Snider and Megan (Josh) Wright; grandchildren, Grant, Claire, and Elise Snider; siblings, Julianne Mizer and Tom (Cathy) Snider; brother-in-law, Paul Bangart; niece, Melissa (Rick) Sprouse; nephew, Zach Snider; and many cousins and close friends. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Thursday, April 26, 2018 at the SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY CHAPEL, 3920 Broadway, Grove City, where the funeral service will be held 12 p.m. Friday.
