

Jenniffer Lynn Howell, age 58, of Columbus, died peacefully with family and friends by her side Tuesday, January 15, 2019. She was born July 9, 1960 in Boston, Massachusetts. She is survived by: her husband, James Michael Howell; father, Peter H McCann; children and grandchildren, Taylor Locke (Julian) Dautremont and their child Walden James, Scott Stephen (Amy) McCann and their children Avery Lynn and Scott Stephen Jr. "SJ," and Peter Howard (Katelyn) McCann II. Jenniffer was preceded in death by her mother Gail McCann, grandmother Dorothy Chamberlain "Nana," and previous husband Brian James Tommerdahl. Jenniffer loved being a mother to her three children and Nana to her three grandchildren. Her patience and dedication in helping little hands and minds explore and learn often felt limitless. She was a constant source of support, guidance, and solace for many family and friends, showing special compassion for those outcast or misunderstood. Jenniffer was owner to many adoring pets, a consummate Scrabble player, and took delight in preparing and sharing good food. Her varied careers include work on political campaigns, creating recreation and restaurant spaces, graphic design, real estate, and building and managing the equestrian facility, Far and Away Farm. From homes, to school projects, to places of business, Jenniffer excelled at finding and creating beauty. Friends and family may call 5-8PM Sunday, January 20, 2019 at SCHOEDINGER MIDTOWN CHAPEL, 229 E State Street. A funeral service will be held 11AM Monday, January 21, 2019 at SCHOEDINGER MIDTOWN CHAPEL with reception to follow at Sheraton Columbus Hotel on Capitol Square, 75 E State St. A private interment service will take place at Kokosing Nature Preserve. Flowers or contributions to South Side Roots, 280 Reeb Avenue, are welcome in her memory.
