Jerry L Morton

Jerry L. Morton, 68, of Columbus, died Sunday, September 25, 2011 at home. He was born in Columbus on December 1, 1942, son of the late Rendall and Lucille (Johnson) Morton. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, a member of the Shamrock Club and American Legion Post #144, where he was an Honor Guard. He is preceded in death by a sister Judy Houck. He is survived by the love of his life and caregiver, Drenda Marshall and her son Jonathan, son John R. Morton, sister Joan Pierce, other extended family, Cindy Muncy, special friend Roy (Jane) Barney, other special friends, his Shamrock Family, Gary Roush, Tommy Byrnes, Nolan Jones, special girls dear to his heart, Kristen and Chelsea, nieces, nephews and many more dear friends, along with his dogs Bear and Shadow. A memorial service will be held Sunday at 12 PM at the Shamrock Club, 60 W. Castle Rd. Special thanks to Mount Carmel Hospice and nurse Tina.
