Jimmy Lee Potter, 61. of Columbus, died Wednesday, May 2, 2012. He was born September 21, 1950 in Portsmouth, OH to the late Edgar and Eudora (Howard) Potter. He was a graduate of West High School and served in Vietnam as a helicopter mechanic with the U.S. Army. He was a truck driver and attended the Church of God. A member of the VFW, AMVETS and NAUS, he enjoyed riding his Harley and going to the clubs with his longtime friend Eddie Hawkins. Jimmy was a fantastic husband that never went to bed without telling Nona that he loved her, a great grandfather who will be missed by all. He is preceded in death by brother Danny Potter, survived by his loving wife Nona of nineteen years, daughter Lorrie Potter, step children Kenny, Judy, Sarah, Elizabeth, G.D. (Gabrielle), many grandchildren and great grandchildren. A memorial gathering will be held from 5-7 PM at SCHOEDINGER HILLTOP CHAPEL Friday, May 11, 2012.
