Joan Ameila Adams

Joan H. Adams, age 88, passed away Wednesday, January 27. 2016, which would have been her late husband, Howard's, 90th birthday. Joan was born on August 26, 1927, in Bowling Green, Ohio to the late Andrew and Eunice (Cornell) Housholder. She was a graduate of Bowling Green High School. Joan received a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics from Bowling Green State University. She was an avid golfer at the Brookside Country Club. She enjoyed playing bridge, volunteering for TWIG, and being part of investment and garden clubs. Joan was also a member of the Dublin Community Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Howard Adams; her son, Jim Adams; and her siblings, Barbara Stuber, Andrew Edward Housholder and Andrea Koontz. She will be greatly missed by her children, Bill (Diane) Adams, and Beth (Shawn) Organ; her grandchildren, Erin Adams, Kelsey, Connor, and Alec Organ, Lillian Adams and Haley Schmidt; sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends 9-10:30 AM on Saturday, January 30, 2016, at SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 North High Street, Worthington, Ohio 43085, where a Funeral Service will follow at 10:30 AM. Interment at Glen Forest Cemetery, Yellow Springs, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to The Howard S. and Joan H. Adams Scholarship at Bowling Green State University, College of Education and Human Development, 440 Education Building, Bowling Green, Ohio 43403.
