Joan Elizabeth Baker

Joan “Jo” Elizabeth Baker, age 77, passed away on Saturday, November 20, 2010. She was born in Wakeman, Ohio, on February 19, 1933, to the late Charles and Gertrude Shelton, and was a graduate of Wakeman High School. After attending The Ohio State University, Jo was part of the original staff of Six Pence School. She then worked as Job Placement Coordinator for Diversified Vocational Services, and finally retired as Job Developer for the Franklin County Developmental Disabilities Board. Jo is survived by her husband of 27 years, Marvin E. Baker; children, Shelton Collier of Charlotte, NC, Susan Collier of Columbus, and Jane Collier of Columbus; sister, Mary Louise Kail; brother, Charles Shelton; and many nieces, nephews, and wonderful friends. Jo’s family would like to express their gratitude to HomeReach Hospice at Kobacker House.
