

John was the beloved son of Theodore and Anna Diakogeorgiou. He was proceeded in death by his wife, Emily (Speaks), father Theodore and siblings Helen, Billy, Kosta, and Gregory. He is survived by his mother Anna; his devoted wife Cathy; and his cherished children Jonathan and Katie Bozoti.
After moving to the United States and becoming a naturalized citizen, John pursued his education with determination. He earned a degree from Concordia University and an MBA in finance from Walden University. His professional career included years at Chase Bank before he dedicated the last decade of his work as a licensed Business Enterprise Facility Operator, managing locations such as DCSC and Twin Valley Behavioral Health.
Blind since birth, John’s life was a testament to resilience and perseverance. His innovation, humor, and unyielding spirit inspired all who met him. Proud of his Greek heritage, John was known for crafting delicious baklava that brought joy to many. An avid reader and lover of music spanning many genres, he embraced the simple yet profound pleasures of life.
John’s Christian faith was the cornerstone of his life. He was an active member of several churches over the years, including Bloom Baptist Church in Lithopolis, Westerville Christian Church, and Lifepoint Church in Lewis Center. As a founding member of Worthington Lifepoint Church, he took great pride in warmly welcoming congregants as a door greeter—a role that reflected his kind heart.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 9, at Schoedinger East in Columbus beginning at 10:00 a.m., followed by a service at noon. Burial will take place at The Groveport Cemetery. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Lifepoint Church in Lewis Center on Friday, January 10, at 10:00 a.m.
John’s unwavering faith and vibrant spirit will leave an indelible mark on all who knew him. May his memory bring comfort to those who mourn his loss.
