
John William Francisco, age 38, passed away unexpectedly September 17, 2009. Born on his father’s and grandmother’s birthday, April 24, 1971, he was a gift to all. John graduated from Upper Arlington High School in 1990. He attended Rio Grande College, where he pledged Alpha Sigma Phi fraternity. He graduated with Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Ohio University. After college, John moved out west. He loved whitewater rafting, rock climbing, and skiing. Since moving back to Columbus he has worked as the Property Manager for Francisco Enterprises. Preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Yolanda and John Francisco, maternal grandparents, Elna and William Koppenhofer, and stepfather, Philip H. Watson. He is survived by his mother, Sharon Francisco Watson, his father, John J. Francisco Jr., sisters, Julie Morris (William), Leslie Plahuta (James), Marci Malenick (Mark); nieces and nephews, Sarah, Haley and Austin Plahuta, Abigail and Emma Morris. John was a friend to everyone he met. His sense of humor and wit was one of his greatest assets. Always ready to help friends and family, John was caring and sensitive. He loved his dogs, especially Montana and Maggie. John will be sorely missed by everyone who knew him. Calling hours will be held at Upper Arlington Lutheran Church, 2300 Lytham Rd. from 4:30- 6:30 p.m. Friday, September 25, 2009 where a Memorial Service will begin at 6:30 p.m. Friday. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Capital Area Humane Society, 3105 Scioto Darby Executive Court, Hilliard, OH 43026 or to American Heart Association, P.O.
